Our Work
At Maynard House, we believe that every guest deserves access to quality healthcare, and we are thrilled to be making a difference for rural communities in our region and beyond! Conveniently located near three medical centers, we help families avoid long commutes while they seek care or support loved ones during challenging times. Our highly subsidized rates help ease financial worries, and our warm, home-like environment fosters a sense of calm and community.
This past year has been incredibly exciting for us! We welcomed 1,800 guests (30% of whom are fully comped-paying no fees), we brought on a new Executive Director, and made some much needed improvements to our space. The demand for our services is growing, and we need your support to meet that demand.
New Partnerships with Healthcare Centers
This year, Maynard House created a partnership with the White River VA Medical Center. Patients and their families, formerly directed to local hotels are now referred to Maynard House. We continue to work closely with Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and now connect with local managed care facilities to support patients and their families as they travel distances to see loved ones receiving medical care.
We are Now Open Throughout Weekends
Maynard House is now open throughout weekends to ensure that family members can visit patients. Patients with weeklong treatment can also stay throughout the weekends to save driving home between treatments.
Increased Number of Guests Served
Last year, Maynard House hosted 1,800 guest nights. Since July 1, 2024, guests stayed over 946 guest nights in just 5 months. While this increase in guests is exciting, this also means that we have to keep Maynard House is good condition and make sure that our services stay top notch.
