Hanover Lions Club Action Auction

Maynard House is honored to have been selected as this year’s local beneficiary of the Hanover Lions Club Action Auction, receiving a generous $1,650 donation in support of our mission.
This impactful event also supported World Central Kitchen, extending its reach to global communities affected by disaster.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Hanover Lions Club, all auction participants, and the Town of Hanover community. Your generosity helps ensure a welcoming, supportive space for patients and families receiving care in the Upper Valley—and demonstrates how local action can make a global difference.
Making a Difference
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible teams from Hypertherm and Dismas House who spent time at the Maynard House helping us with a wide range of much-needed projects.
Thanks to their hard work, our porch got a fresh coat of paint, the gardens look beautiful, windows are sparkling clean, and AC units are safely moved and installed. Your time, energy, and dedication mean so much to us we truly couldn't have done it without you!
Your support makes a real difference, and we are deeply grateful.

Their professionalism and generosity embody the true spirit of community. We are deeply grateful for their support.

Compassion in Motion
The Hanover Lions Club recently made a meaningful difference for a guest at Maynard House who was receiving care at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
When it became clear that a walker was needed to ensure safe travel to and from medical appointments, the Lions Club responded without hesitation. Within hours, John Bayliss personally delivered a walker to the house, ensuring the guest had the support necessary for greater mobility and independence.
This generous act is a powerful reminder of what community care looks like in action. Our heartfelt thanks to the Hanover Lions Club for their compassion, responsiveness, and unwavering support.
Wilson "Snowflake" Bentley
Richmond Middle School has sent us a stunning collection of artwork from their recent project, "Snowflake," inspired by Wilson "Snowflake" Bentley—the first person to successfully photograph snowflakes.
These beautiful, student-created images are now on display throughout Maynard House, bringing a touch of winter wonder for all our guests to enjoy. Their creativity and tribute to Bentley’s pioneering work offer both inspiration and beauty.
We invite you to stop by and experience this thoughtful, winter-themed exhibit throughout the month. A big thank you to the talented students and staff at Richmond Middle School for sharing their work with us!

Home Depot Volunteers
What a Difference a Day (or two) Makes.
Home Depot was a wrecking and restoring force at Maynard House. Mark Perreault and his teams from the West Lebanon Home Depot worked for 1 1/2 days removing old trees and shrubs, spreading mulch donated by Home Depot and then planting flowers and plants donated by the following organizations: E. C. Browns' Nursery, Frost Gardens, Cedar Circle Farm, Honeyfield Farm, and Northern Nurseries. Thank you to those who donated. Please come by to see the result, it's much more beautiful in-person!

Hanover Lions Club
Maynard House would like to thank the Hanover Lions Club. We called them last Friday, wondering if they had a set of grab bars that we needed for our second-floor shower. We also had a guest who shared that they might get around better if they had a cane. Within a few hours, a Lions Club volunteer stopped at the house with a set of grab bars and an adjustable cane for our guest. What a wonderful community support!

Hypertherm
Thank you to Stacey Chiocchio and Hypertherm for hosting a volunteer fair for their employees. This fair brings nonprofits together to offer ways for Hypertherm employees to use their annual 40-hours of paid Community Service Time. It was wonderful to meet Hypertherm employees as well as network with representatives from other nonprofits in our area.
