POSITION: Assistant Operations Manager (full-time, day)
Reports to: House Operations Manager
Hours: Full-time, M-F, 8am-5pm
Salary range: $37,440-$43,680 annually
Benefits: $300/month ($3600 annually)
PTO: 10 days vacation, 5 sick days, 6 holidays annually
JOB SUMMARY
Maynard House is a non-profit facility in Hanover, New Hampshire that provides low-cost lodging for patients and their families receiving medical treatment. Reporting to the House Operations Manager, Assistant Operations Managers are part of the staff team responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Maynard House. This includes providing guest relations services, housekeeping tasks, office administration, project management, and occasional volunteer management between the hours of 9am and 9pm (day shift: weekdays, 8-4:30pm; evening shift: Su-Th, 5-9pm). Additional evening and overnight coverage at Maynard House is provided by two live-in Resident Managers who work alternating weeks.
Responsibilities:

Take reservations, enter reservations in the automated system, greet and check-in guests, handle payments, and assist guests as needed during their stay.

Light housekeeping (includes turning rooms as needed), house chores, and grounds maintenance as needed.

Enter and update data in Maynard House systems: QuickBooks, LGL (donor database), and reservation system.

Provide administrative support as needed for board meetings, fundraising, financial management (bill paying, bank deposits), community engagement, and communications projects.

Provide coverage, when possible, during staff absences/vacations.

Prepare reports (e.g. hand-off reports for next shift).

Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements:

Must be physically able to perform the duties of the Position including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs, performing house cleaning tasks, bending, stooping, sitting for long periods of time, and standing to accomplish duties.

Must have sufficient visual acuity with correction to work effectively with computers and printed material.

Must have hearing acuity with correction to hear spoken communications while on the phone or in person.
